[R] Problem

  x <- matrix(c(1,2,2,3))
  x[x==2] <- 0

  I suggest reading the "Introduction to R" that comes with the R package,
it will help you with basic questions like this ... (see "Index vectors;
selecting and modifying subsets of a data set")
