[R] R in IRIX 64-bit

It looks like you are using 32-bit Fortran.  I used

env CC="cc -64" ./configure --with-f77="f77 -64" --with-tcltk=no

from tcsh to confiugre a 64-bit build on IRIX 6.5, if that helps.
