[R] grouping in scatterplot3d

You want that the plotting function finds clusters? I am
misunderstanding ...

Of course you can color the different groups. Make use of the argument
'color', another choice is the use of different plotting characters
(argument 'pch'). In your syntax:

 scatterplot3d(<PLOTVAR>, [<PLOTVAR2>], [<PLOTVAR3>], 
   color = as.integer(factor(<GROUPINGVAR>)))
