[R] MASS Library

Look at the scripts (MASS/scripts/ch08.R).  It's negexp.SSival under
current nlme with R (and under current versions of S-PLUS too).

Three years is a long time in the software world (as those of us who can
remember trying to use R in early 1999 may remember: I don't think nlme
was available for R then, but lme probably was).
