[R] update.packages()

Hello all,

I am running R 1.5.0 on a Pentium 4 1.5 GHz machine running Windows XP
Professional.

update.packages() doesn't work for me.

For a while it goes quiet an then I get the following message:


trying URL `http://cran.r-project.org/bin/windows/contrib/PACKAGES'
unable to connect to 'cran.r-project.org'.
Error in download.file(url = paste(contriburl, "PACKAGES", sep = "/"),  :
        cannot open URL
`http://cran.r-project.org/bin/windows/contrib/PACKAGES'

What should I do?
