Hello,

I am trying to use R on a Mac running Mac OS X 10.2 (Jaguar)
(installed from the Mac OS X/Darwin/X11 binaries on CRAN), but i get the
following errors when I start it:

dyld: /usr/local/lib/R/bin/R.bin Undefined symbols:
/sw/lib/libreadline.4.2.dylib undefined reference to _tgoto expected to be
defined in /usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib
/sw/lib/libreadline.4.2.dylib undefined reference to _tputs expected to be
defined in /usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib

/sw/lib/libreadline.4.2.dylib undefined reference to _tgetstr expected to

Trace/BPT trap

I suspect this is due to some change in the libraries Apple uses in 10.2,
but since i'm not a programmer, i have no clue what can be done. Does
anyone have any suggestions for getting R to work on Jaguar, or know of
binaries that would be available? I have tried fink, but it fails to get
the f2c, so the R install fails.

Thanks
