[R] Access to R from a remote location

instead of realvnc you might also consider
eSVNC, available from
http://perso.wanadoo.fr/samfd/esvnc

it has one additional feature:
file transfer.

so if you need to transfer data to r from your local machine,
it might be the better solution.
