[R] lm.fit glitch

I can replicate it as follows: 

 > (DF <- data.frame(x=c(1:2, NA, NA), y=c(NA, NA, 3:4)))
   x  y
1  1 NA
2  2 NA
3 NA  3
4 NA  4
 > lm(y~x, DF, na.action=na.omit)
Error in lm.fit(x, y, offset = offset, singular.ok = singular.ok, ...) :
        0 (non-NA) cases
