Hello,

Has somebody an idea of how to fit contrast involving random terms and
obtain their standard errors with lme?

I am referring to

Welham, S.; Cullis, B.; Gogel, B.; Gilmour, A. and Thompson, R. (2004).
Prediction in linear mixed models.
Australian and New Zealand Journal of Statistics 46, 325-347

who develop the ideas of

McLean, R.A.; Sanders,W.L.; and Stroup,W.W. (1991).
A unified approach to linear mixed models.
American Statistician 45, 54-64.

Any hint would be welcome.

Joris
