	  Does the following help:

 > set.seed(1)
 > pop <- 1:100
 > s1 <- sample(pop, 5)
 > s1. <- pop[!(pop %in% s1)]
 > s2 <- sample(s1., 5)
 > s1
[1] 27 37 57 89 20
 > s2
[1] 91 94 66 62  6
