then maybe this is what you're looking for:

L <- list(matrix(rnorm(6), nrow = 3), matrix(rnorm(6), nrow = 3))
################
L
array(unlist(L), dim = c(nrow(L[[1]]), ncol(L[[1]]), length(L)))
