[R] install RMySQL under Mac OS X 10.4.7

Try

    install.packages('RMySQL', repos 
="http://www.biometrics.mtu.edu/CRAN/", dependencies=TRUE , 
type='source')

Check the help for install.packages() for an explanation of the 
'type' argument, and some Mac-specific information about it.
