|     but note that these are Debian package names which may need a tweak
|on Ubuntu.  If you use 'dpkg-buildpackage' it will check the
|Build-Depends
|     for you long before configure may or may not fail.

Hi,

Thanks for your help, following your advice i have installed R using
apt-get successfully.
