[R] "flipping" vector and matrix

One way:

> x<-1:9
> rev(x)
[1] 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1

for x as the matrix you gave:
> x
     [,1] [,2] [,3]
[1,]    1    2    3
[2,]    4    5    6
[3,]    7    8    9
>
>
> apply(t(x),1,rev)
     [,1] [,2] [,3]
[1,]    7    8    9
[2,]    4    5    6
[3,]    1    2    3
