[R] Switch language

Perhaps you are on Windows: the answer is in the rw-FAQ


If you have another platform either set LANGUAGE=en or (for MacOS X) ask 
on the appropriate list.

PLEASE do as we ask!  Knowing the platform would save a lot of guesswork 
as here.
