[R] R function for Woody Average (Average with alignment)?

Dear R users,

I'm looking for a function to align multiple waveforms that contain
random phase shifts.
The "Woody Average" is one such method -- is there any comparable
function already coded for R?
Matlab code for this type of average exists

but I don't speak matlab.
