[R] strsplit, keeping delimiters

Try this:

> library(gsubfn)
> x <- "A: 123 B: 456 C: 678"
> strapply(x, "[^ :]+[ :]|[^ :]+$")
[[1]]
[1] "A:"   "123 " "B:"   "456 " "C:"   "678"
