[R] Sweave does not parse \Sexpr{}

I am not aware of that I have ever used R2HTML.
However, your suggestion worked! 
Using
Sweave("test.Rnw", syntax="SweaveSyntaxNoweb")
does the trick and now the \Sexpr{} tags are being
parsed again.
