[R] behaviour of xls2sep when running read.xls (package gdata) sinceupgrade of R

Thanks Gabor for the tip,
you're right as always : older gdata (2.6.1) works as usual.
So it was not the R-2.9 -> R-2.10 upgrade which was responsible, but the 
gdata one...
