[R] Question on Reduce + rollmean

Let me rephrase;

Given x as

[2,]  2  2  2

[3,]  6  6  6

[[3]]

[2,]  8  8  8
[3,]  9  9  9

I'd like to calculate the moving average (interval = 2) i.e.

( x[[1]] + x[[2]] ) / 2
( x[[2]] + x[[3]] ) / 2
... and so on.

The desired output will return

2.5 2.5 2.5
3.5 3.5 3.5
4.5 4.5 4.5

5.5 5.5 5.5
6.5 6.5 6.5
7.5 7.5 7.5
