[R] a question about replacing the value in the data.frame

I have a data.frame as follows:
v1     v2     v3     v4     v5.....v100
1       1       0       0      1        2
2       1       2       1      0        1
1       1       1       2      1        0
.        .        .       .       .        .
.        .        .       .       .        .
1       2       2       1       1       0

so for this data set, what I wanna do is to replace all the '2' with '1',
how can I do it in an efficient way?
