Hi Jie Tang,

You could try my "Friendly Beginners' R Course". Online resource at:
  http://www.R-project.org/ → Documentation/Other (left-hand panel) → Contributed Documentation (middle of screen) → (scroll down a little) 
which is a quick intro to what R can do in 14 pages with lots of links for further information.
