[R] Adding dash-lines in R tables

Axel, you may also be interested in the ascii function (in the ascii
package). The ascii version of David's example is

library(ascii) #may need install.packages("ascii") first
ascii(M)
ascii(table(sample(1:10, 100, replace=TRUE)))
