[R] how to call a function for each row

will this do it:

+ 3   6  1", header = TRUE)

  X1 X2 X3
1  1  3  5
2  2  4  6
3  3  6  1
> apply(x, 1, function(a) 6 * a[1] + 7 * a[2] + 8 * a[3])
[1] 67 88 68
