There do appear to be a number of bugs in g++ 4.7.0 (there is no '4.7'), 
including reports that R itself cannot be compiled under it on some 
platforms.

But

- this is the wrong list for compilation matters (see the posting guide).
- you did not tell us what the error was.
- what did the maintainer say (see the posting guide)?
