[R] Resurrecting old Splus objects

Try read.S in package foreign.  It was written back in the days of that 
S-PLUS format.

It does, because Solaris then would AFAIR have been on Sparc and 
big-endian.  But read.S should handle big-endian.

I believe more recent S-PLUS would be able to read it, too.
