[R] Strange behaviour of setwd/getwd

Hello,

Just to be complete, in my first answer I forgot to mention your 
'default.wd'.
There's no need to call getwd() to do what you want.


tmp.wd <- choose.dir()
default.wd <- setwd(tmp.wd)
