[R] Joining two files

You did not specify what you were expecting as output.  Here is one
way of using 'merge', but I am not sure if this is what you were
after:

> r1<-c(1,1,2,3)
> r2<-c(2,1,2,2)
> r3<-c(2,1,4,1)
> data1<-data.frame(r1,r2)
> data2<-data.frame(r1,r3)
> data1
  r1 r2
1  1  2
2  1  1
3  2  2
4  3  2
> data2
  r1 r3
1  1  2
2  1  1
3  2  4
4  3  1
> merge(data1, data2, by = "r1", all = TRUE)
  r1 r2 r3
1  1  2  2
2  1  2  1
3  1  1  2
4  1  1  1
5  2  2  4
6  3  2  1
