Hi,

backsolve() is probably what you are looking for.

Subject: [R] triangular matrix inverse

Greetings,

is there an algorithm which computes the inverse of a triangular matrix while being aware of its triangular form?

I know about solve() but this is probably not efficient on a triangular matrix.

Thanks,

Michael Meyer
