Sorry, disregard my previous e-mail.
Instead of your FPG function try


FPG <- function(pH, model) {
   coef(model)[1] + coef(model)[2]*pH + coef(model)[3]*pH^2
}

FPG(aedf$pH, m)
fitted(m)
