You will probably need to install the zlib1g-dev (The compression
library -development) package into Ubuntu to be able to compile affyio,
the other packages just depend on affyio (or affy)

Subject: [BioC] Problems installing Bioconductor

Hi All,

Thanks for this wonderful set of packages and putting it under open
source.

Unfortunately I am having trouble installing some of the packages that
come with it. The packages are: 'affyio', 'affy', 'genefilter',
'gcrma', and 'affyPLM'. This is the list after attempting to install
using biocLite() with the default options.

I am using R 2.3.1 on Ubuntu (Dapper).

Any help will be much appreciated. If this issue was already discussed,

kindly point me to the right place. I have just now become a member of
this list and an initial search of the archive got me no result.

Thanks,
Saurav
