Given R's habit of using symbol names in plots, anything occurring in
any Latin1-language should be there (I've seen too many manglings of
the Danish language for 7-bit programs, that I'd pass the opportunity
to get it done right in R). The above lists misses n-tilde (=F1) and
c-cedilla (=E7). I dont see anything harmful in including the whole
"upper ascii" part (characters 160-255, at least) as symbols.
