R-1.6.1, Mac OS X 10.2.2 build failure

dlcompat was the problem.

When it was rebuilt in the fink style (by hand, using 'make -f fink.mk  
install'), R built to completion.

Thanks to Luke and Jan for their help on this.

I've asked the darwinports list for a advice on what is the best way  
forward to putting together a port of R-1.6.1.
