I should probably add that

	gee

is available as a contributed library -- thanks to Thomas Lumley --
from a CRAN (Comprehensive R Archive Network) mirror near you,
for UK, this could be

	ftp://ftp.stat.math.ethz.ch/R-CRAN/src/contrib/gee_3.13-2.tar.gz

for the 0.60 version(s) of R
and
	ftp://ftp.stat.math.ethz.ch/R-CRAN/src/contrib/0.50/gee-3.13R1.tar.gz

for the 0.50 ones.

You should read not only the
	?gee
help files, but also the README..

GEE has also been ported to X-Lispstat by Thomas Lumley,
and this port with accompanying paper is available from the online
journal of statistical software,
at
	http://www.stat.ucla.edu/journals/jss/v01/i03/

--
and well, I still hope that
Thomas Lumley will add some more nice examples to the R version of GEE ...
