Ross or Robert was saying 3D graphics and overhauling the graphics in
general were priorities at some point (a year ago I
think).  But then it fell apart because his grad student decided graphics
wasn't so interesting.

Too bad!  The graphics stuff is what I've been longing for, too.  I
actually thought they had done persp() in the unix version.  I use the
antique Mac version, so I'm not sure what's happening in unix versions.
