[R] ?Corrupt Recommended packages source

The symptom you describe is possible (files from $CRAN/src/base that are
only Ok in Wisconsin), because the CRAN master mirrors that directory
from Wisconsin (and all other sites from the master site).

However, I have just checked the file R-1.4.0-recommended.tgz at the
master and I cannot see any problems ... what exactly do you mean by
"arrived corrupted"?

I can untar both the R-1.4.0-recommended.tgz file and all .tgz files
contained in it without any problems.

Have others experiences problems with the file?
