[R] Read ".xlsx" and convert date-column value into Dataframe

Those numbers are a "serial" number of days. A value of 1 maps to Jan 1,
1900. ref:

A formula such as: as.Date('1900-01-01')+excel_date-1 should convert the
serial value to a date value.
