That's not the command you're using.  (It would give a "no inputs" 
error, not a vignette error.  If you actually gave the name of a 
vignette on the command line, it would get very confused, because it's 
for processing *.Rd files, not *.Rnw files.)

I'm guessing you're doing a "build" or "INSTALL".
